"I joined State Farm and was pleased with my policy for a few months until I had the first increase of around 20% . I called the office and was told that the state is in charge of the rate of increase. I've been driving over 25 years and have NEVER had a ticket or have I ever been at fault in an accident. When I called this office I was told that some people experienced and increase of varying percentages while others didn't receive an increase at all. Why am I paying for others people's accidents and the underinsured. I had another increase on my policy last month of $10 which bring my monthly full coverage to $150 per month. I think that's insane for someone that has never had a ticket or accident. My Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit has an intermittent braking system and lots of other safety options included. I've spoke with two neighbors who have State Farm Insurance who have not had any increase in the past year. After doing a little research, I found out that my credit score is probably the "cause" of my recent increases. I've been on medical leave from work for over 2 years now in which my credit score has been affected since I don't have any income. I guess my credit score and rating has everything to do with my ability to navigate safely and responsibility lol."
